Documenting not dying since October 2013.

The 28th of July.

This is most likely going to be rather dull and rather short.

This morning, once Daddy and I were both finished with our breakfasts, we both sat down at his computer (he has two screens so windows could be spread out) and got into what Sadie had sent me. First, we went through her instructions, which we had a few questions about. Basically, Daddy needed some rules he could apply, because he wanted to create a Pivot Table. I had never heard of these before but they seem incredibly useful. Together we worked through the first police force and I sent a screengrab to Sadie. That seemed okay, so we could get on with the rest.

It had taken us until about two o'clock to get to that point, and I had managed to eat lunch because he was doing all the computer stuff. We decided that I would take over, and he could eat lunch while I did the work. Really all I had to do was copy and paste things from one document to another, so he went to the back room to watch a moon programme while I put my earphones in and hunkered down. I finished doing the data for 2015, and it was nearly five, so I passed the task back to Daddy to do the final version so I could give my eyes and back a rest.

And that is all I have done today! Got to do three more years though, so be prepared for more of this. I do have some other things to do for the next few days though, so I won't be staring at a screen all day every day. My eyes will be pleased.

The 29th of July.

Well, it has been a day of computer work, broken up by a good long chat in the middle.

This morning, I worked on finishing the final data set for 2015, occasionally texting Fiona to check on when she was coming. She originally was going to come at 11, then it was nearer 12, and by the time she did get here, it was nearly one o'clock, bless her! It didn't matter to me; I had nowhere to be, and I understand that with two young children, life happens!

She pulled up outside, and we just sat in the living room and talked for what, nearly three hours? We have a lot of life to catch up on, because I haven't seen her since Mr. Padden's funeral and a lot has happened since then! Mommy came back from the optician while she was here, so she got to say hello and chat for a bit, but had to eat her lunch and then go to Grandma's. Fiona stayed until nearly four, when she really had to go and do some food shopping before picking up the kids or they would have no dinner!

I then got settled down at the computer pretty much straight away again, and got to work copying the numbers for 2016. I was a bit quicker than yesterday because the Pivot Table was already done, so it only took about an hour and a half! I got the final version ready, but didn't start any of the transferring, because by then, bits of my body were getting tired. Don't want to ruin all the hard work I've done getting my eye better by doing too much computer stuff.
