The 23rd of August. Mommy update: lower temperature, not quite normal yet. Moving a bit easier, but trip to M&S after chiropractor was too much. Bit worn out now.

We were both at the chiro, me first. My right lower shoulder blade area was bad again, and I've just worked out why - when I've been doing this, I usually rest the book on the left arm of the chair, with my legs facing forwards, but my torso twisted towards the diary. Going to have to make a change.

We stopped at M&S on the way home to get milk and bread etc. I stayed in the car so Mommy didn't have to haul the wheelchair about, but when she came back, she was moving much more slowly. Too much exertion.

This afternoon, I have been beavering away at a crocheted beagle. It's for Sophie's neighbour who is in hospital, and as a gift she and her mum want to give her a little replica of their dog Mac, who this girl really loved. I made it a bit harder for myself by altering the pattern so it looks more like the original Max, but I got through it and now he has a body, a head and ears!

The 24th of August.

Fuck, my back absolutely kills this evening. Not in the place I was talking about yesterday, but in the usual place. I was thinking of going to the gym today, but seeing as how doing nothing has caused this pain, I'm glad I didn't do anything more to aggravate it.

Mommy was back to feeling crappy this morning, but her temperature is getting much better. Still not very speedy, and I really don't know how she's going to cope tomorrow - she and Daddy are going to London to see the new Alan Bennett play with Christine. I think they should take my manual wheelchair.

Alison came round to show us proper pictures from the wedding, and after looking at those, I went to sit with Dolly, watch House and finish the beagle. I made all four legs, his tail, and got through six episodes. He's fully assembled and ready to cheer up a very poorly girl.

Mommy being ill like this has shown me just how utterly fucked we would be without her. She is, by definition, the perfect mother and "housewife". She cleans, she cooks, she takes care of me and her own mother. I need to find a way to make her life easier. Lighten the load somehow.

The 25th & 26th; I still find him everywhere.
