The 20th & 21st; He is done!

 The 20th of February.

Oh man, my back is so fucking painful tonight. It's because I've spent the day assembling my pug jumper.

This morning, I wrote up a blog post, although I have yet to publish it because it contains information not yet public. That sounds dramatic but it's just that Becky and James' baby is here. (Obviously I have posted it now, because they have put it on Facebook.)

Mommy had a hand appointment, and she can move on to strengthening exercises. Maybe even driving in a couple of weeks! When she returned, I helped her put up the ironing board, so she could press the parts of my jumper for me to put it together. I pinned the pieces together, then sewed up the raglan seams.

After lunch, I picked up all the stitches round the neckline, and knitted the collar. Once that was finished, I sewed up the rest of the seams, tidued up any loose ends, and I've just put the eyes in. He is done! I will try him on in the morning; I just hope it looks good!

The 21st of February.

It has been rather a tedious day. This morning, I wrote out the pattern for me to practise the schnauzer, then organised what wool I needed. I put my pug jumper on and I am happy with how it looks, but there are things that I need to do differently in order for the next one to be nearer and tighter. The schnauzer requires more detail, hence why I want to practise.

And I have spent most of the day working through the first half. It's quite slow and tiresome, because when I've got six bobbins of wool to work with, keeping them untangled takes time. I won't finish it today, because when I get to the face I'm going to need seven strands of one colour, not to mention the rest. I will need fresh light and the ability to concentrate, which I will not have this evening. The technique is working though! So it might be a bit annoying and time-consuming, but I am confident it will be worth it.
