In one of the stars I shall be living.

The 2nd & 3rd; I felt really happy.

The 2nd of June. Zopiclone last night. I’m slightly concerned how tonight will go with nothing but I’m just going to have to deal with it. This morning, Mommy and I went to Pets at Home to get more bedding and stuff for Hamilton and then M&S because apparently Grandma needed loads of crackers. I don’t know why.

After coming home and having lunch, Mommy washed my hair, then she went to see Grandma and I attempted a little nap/rest. It didn’t really work. I’ve done very little else this afternoon, just sorted out what I am going to wear tomorrow (I’m so excited) and continued with this blasted dry cough. Daddy and I both have deep, croaky voices so that’ll be fun for the waiting staff tomorrow.

The 3rd of June.

Hand and Flowers day! That’s all it’s been, really. I got dressed in a super cute fashion, and while I was taking photos of my outfit, I saw little Oscar outside! I said hi to him through the window. I shall steal him yet!

We left at half eleven, stopped for coffee and arrived in Marlow at two to pick up Christine at the station. We got to the restaurant just before half past, and had drinks in the bar. I had a Chase Marmalade vodka and orange juice which was delicious. After being taken through to our table, I had to make the decision between the pork and the duck (we’d decided to forego starters because we definitely wanted puddings). I decided the pork would be too heavy, then while we waited, we had deep fried whitebait and bread. When the mains came, everybody shut up and we just ate. There was crispy skin, the slow cooked duck breast, a kind of meatball, some foie gras, plus a little pot of peas and more duck, and a pan of duck fat chips and some gravy. Oh it was all so good - I didn’t quite finish the chips so I definitely had room for the chocolate and ale cake, and it came with a tiny beer which I actually liked! When we’d finished, we talked to the waitress for ages, which ended up being fortuitous because when we were leaving, Tom Kerridge himself rocked up in his convertible, blasting some tunes. It was too good an opportunity to pass up, and I just had to go and get a photo and talk to him. He was so nice! (Not that I expected anything less.) Then it was ages until Christine’s train, so we went for a bimble by the river, which was lovely, except for when Daddy stopped pushing me in the middle of a cloud of tiny flies. Upsetting. I also got waved at and greeted by someone I didn’t know, seemingly because we were both in wheelchairs. After dropping Christine off, we just drove all the way home, and long car journeys with music never last long enough. I felt really happy.
